Pulping Volume 1

Toronto's Newest Comics Anthology

Pulping is a comic book anthology conceived and edited by Jenn Woodall, Jon Iñaki, Mitch Lohmeier, Paterson Hodgson and myself — all of whom contributed new work to each collection.

Volume 1 is 144 pages of comics on the theme of comics — reading, making or selling them, or the impacts of sequential art on the world, big or quiet and features 35 artists who are living and working in and around Toronto, Ontario.

You can read my original Pulping Volume 1 comic here.

Pulping editors with Pulpy at Houndstooth

Pulping 1 debuted at Toronto Comic Arts Festival 2024 and was officially released at Houndstooth on June 8th, 2024. 20+ contributors read comics live to a crowd of over 100 comics lovers.

Two Ignatz Awards

Pulping was awarded Outstanding Anthology at the Ignatz Awards during the 2024 Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland. Sami Alwani's contribution "The Happy Art" also won in the Outstanding Story category.

Pulping Volume 2 debuted at TCAF 2025 in June and included a reading event during the festival and a launch party in November.

My comic for this excellent collection "The Hook-Up Web" features the debut of Annica Bungalow and her gang! You can read all about them here.
